K-12

Harris & Associates empowers K-12 school districts to create exceptional 21st century learning environments for students and teachers.

Because no two districts are the same—in goals, needs, or resources—we tailor our services accordingly to adapt to each district’s unique situation. We represent the District during every phase of a long-term, multi-site bond program, from providing program management to supplementing District staff, our services can be tailored to your needs and budget.

In addition to exemplary programconstruction management, and environmental compliance services, our K-12 clients also depend on us to provide:

  • Services to assist with meeting DSA readiness requirements,
  • Guidance on meeting Collaborative for High Performance Schools (CHPS) Standards for high-performing, 21st century learning requirements, and
  • Direction on making facilities operationally sustainable.

Classrooms and More

We lay the foundation for brighter futures by delivering environments that support student achievement in STEM and STEAM education, digital literacy, critical thinking, collaboration, and problem solving. Our team has managed numerous large-scale, multi-site building programs with local school board accountability for distinct learning spaces, including:

  • Technology-rich, flexible classrooms
  • "Maker spaces" and innovation labs
  • Sports facilities
  • Auditoriums and theaters

We assist with quality analysis and control, constructability reviews, and large-scale environmental and permitting compliance in preparing projects to be DSA ready and meet CHPS guidelines for high performance schools. Above all, Harris works to make schools safe, accessible, and ready to serve students far into the future.

A Multidisciplinary Approach

Harris has extensive experience supporting school districts across California with program, construction, and project management, as well as other vital services. For example, we helped the San Diego Unified School District implement bond programs for expansion and modernization projects across 200 facilities.

Meanwhile, our work for the Culver City Unified School District involved significant upgrades to aging HVAC and electrical systems, campus security measures, and learning environments.
