The City of Highland Greenspot Road Bridge over Santa Ana River project will receive an American Public Works Association (APWA) Project of the Year award in the Small Cities/Rural Communities Transportation category.
Project of the Year recipients are acknowledged at the APWA national Public Works Exchange (PWX), the association's national annual conference in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
This innovative project rehabilitated an older historical steel bridge, now used solely by bicyclists and pedestrians, and constructed a new concrete bridge with four lanes for vehicle traffic—enhancing public safety and enabling future road expansion and utility crossings. Harris & Associates served as the construction manager of this $9.3 million project, which also received project awards from the APWA Inland Empire Chapter and APWA Southern California Chapter.
Harris & Associates extends the firm's congratulations to the City of Highland and all other project partners on this national award win.
