Completed in 2015, this eight-year, $212 million Capital Improvement Program was design to enhance educational outcomes with new and modernized arts, athletic, and academic facilities for the students of the San Leandro Unified School District.
Harris & Associates provided comprehensive program, project and construction management services, including public finance and program planning, for the 95 projects under the bond initiatives.
The Harris team has also:
- Facilitated conceptual design team and steering committee meetings with the district, the community, the City of San Leandro and other stakeholders
- Assisted in the selection and management of architects, engineers, labor compliance officers, and environmental and specialty consultants
- Reported project status to the Citizens Bond Oversight Committee, the Facility Technology Committee and the Board of Education
- Managed oversight of other construction management firms selected by the district

At every step, Harris has worked closely with school staff to minimize disruption to educational programs by coordinating temporary and permanent relocations and providing seamless move management services.

Beyond the Blueprints

- $6 million in Federal QSCB funds
- $2 million from the Redevelopment Agency of the City of San Leandro
- $5 million from other sources
